Thats great news!!!! Must have been an easier repair than my old one because the damage was so much higher on yours. Mine didn't look anywhere near as bad as yours until you see the chassis and boot floor lol.

You wouldn't have thought they would write that off would you^^^^

Was your motor a CAT C or D then? How much did you sell it for?

Cat C, Sold it for 4.6k.

The guy that bought it said he managed to jig it straight and repair it perfectly in a week. He reckoned he only had to buy a fog light as he managed to repair the bumper. I wouldn't have wanted to tow my caravan with it after it was repaired lol.

It doesn't look bad from the rear but when you look closely at the side you can see the roof/frame bent above the door and the rear of the door hitting the rear quarter panel. The roof also dipped at each rear corner of the sunroof.

I think the car took the impact really well, the car that hit us was doing over 50mph. I was expecting my dogs to be dead in the back. I just wish my spine had handled it as well!

Latest up date on my car - the car is now is a BMW main agents Bodyshop in Blackpool, and having spoken to the manager this morning he's telling that there's been an agreed estimate for him to work to, but he now needs to fully inspect the car plus the car will be put onto a ramp for further inspection. Once this is done he can then submit what could be the true cost of fixing the car. This is then passed over to the 3rd party insurers to be either agreed and they'll give the OK to start the work or they'll send their assessor out to further inspect the car, and to clarify with the Bodyshop cost of fixing the car.
It could be another 2-3 weeks before I get the car back
