Well we never took the top hose off and top hoses can be "squashed down a bit" unless they split the hose being ham fisted....just out of interest how many litres of antifreeze was charged for?

You've been ripped off....job time is 1.6 hours ICME times, thats what you should have been charged for any longer then it's at their cost.....that's the Motor Codes Ruling law...I still can't get my head around 18 hours to replace an alternator....they wouldn't get a job at my place that's for sure

What antifreeze was it,what colour is the fluid in your expansion tank? I'll check tomorrow how much it should have as 4 litres doesn't seem a lot considering how much coolant fluid your car holds

£18 for labour?...Come on,what does that tell you? they screwed up on something surely, that's £1 an hour,if it took me 18 hours I would have still charged you 1.6 hours of labour as that's the ICME time

Blue???? That wants taking out straight away, your car needs super oat and its pink when neat but when added to water it looks rusty brown, that blue stuff will start rotting anything alloy in your engine...wait a minute.....that's everything in your engine....
