Fault Codes Ahoy!

Happy Friday to the knowledgeable 300C owners,

My 300C has resigned itself to limp mode and I have got the following out of the fault box:

P1270 Intake Manifold Runner Control, Performance, Intermittent
P0675 Cylinder 5 Glow Plug Circuit, Intermittent
P0674 Cylinder 4 Glow Plug Circuit, Intermittent
P0671 Cylinder 1 Glow Plug Circuit, Intermittent

ECU E8, P2015 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range.Perf...

U140A Front Right Speed Sensor, Implausible Signal

On the simple ones I have some fresh Glow Plugs currently lost in Royal Mail somewhere (were supposed to arrive yesterday and have not come in today's post either). Would like to clear the rest.

Guessing the speed sensor one is why the ABS lights up when I turn sharply in the rain, though may be wrong. Help with that and the Manifold issues would be superb (please)

Looking into the P1270 and P2015 it looks like a swirl motor resistor mod may be in order. Hopefully driving it home from work tonight and then to Maplins tomorrow isn't too risky.

Yes. Anything linked to this descriptor generally points to swirl motor problems.

Do you also have the engine check lamp on?

Thats a lot of problems all at once?

I would have a good look around cable looms for signs of rubbing/chaffing before looking to change anything.

I'm not saying you haven't got some parts that need changing, but 300C's do suffer from fairly frequent cable chaffing problems.

You could try clearing the codes to see which ones rush back on the system as solid state, should illuminate any ghosts codes but keep a eye in case they come back later? Somebody did suggest the swirl motor mod, worth looking into? Good luck

Did a wipe and reset prior to this and these are what came back up.

In dash lights I first got a flashing red lightning that came on once driving. Then the yellow engine light came on. It went off at the end of the journey. but when it restarted it had the yellow light on from the of and the red one didn't come on.

Will check the wiring too.
