egr help

Hi everyone I want to blank my Egr
But I can't find it can anyone help
Also will my 2.7k resistor work with the swirl motor??

its are the rear of the right hand bank, the would need the get a remap to delete the egr, or the light on the dash will stay on,

I was told I could put a resistor in the Egr plug and. What will I gain g on removing the swirl and Egr?

you can put a resistor on the egr, but the check light will stay on, no one has found away around that, without the delete in the mapping

Will run much, much better with resistor in place of EGR , but as stated above mil light will come on after about 5 trips.
I reset code every five or so trips its not too much trouble to me, but I don't like running with light permanently on and poss. hiding other problems.

I got the tps light on so another light wont bother me for now

Yes but TPS light is insignificant compared to MIL.
Personally I wouldn't want to run with MIL light on, but TPS wouldn't bother me a bit.
If you don,t have a reader that will clear MIL lights I would buy one for the sake of £25'ish and read the codes and clear the light on a regular basis.


P0401 is a regular error code that comes up when EGR is prevented from working which is "EGR insufficient flow". This obviously comes up because the EGR is prevented from working cos its unplugged and a pressure sensor detects that valve hasn't opened.
