I suggest asking the tyre manufacturer for there recpmmendations, but in the mean time I would stick with the original Chrysler figure, which I think is 36psi front & rear.

I wouldn't rely on EVIC readings. Check your tyres with a manual gauge. I always find my EVIC under reads and pressures will also vary with temperature.

If you have the non rubber valves, take care not to tug on it whilst inflating tyres. Best is to use electric pumps that plug into the cigarette lighter socket. Mostly the ones at the petrol stations are self retracting and if by accident it pulls, the stems could snap off. Take care

I run my 255's at 2.4 bar. (Pressure gauge not EVIC). Nothing heavy in the back and alot of high speed motorway. Rgds Doug L

I had 2 sets of Pirelli 225/60 18s, factory fit ones lasted about 21,000 miles, they were inflated to recommended 36 psi (bar is where you buy beer? :-)) Fronts rubbed off really badly on outside edges, so second set of Pirellis were set to 40 psi front , 38 psi rear, they were also rotated front to rear after 15k miles and lasted about 34,000 miles.

I now have 255/55 18s and run front at 40psi and rear at 38. Fitted at 55,000 miles, rotated at 70,000 and now on 91,000 and still a few mm of tread left, so may well be 40,000 plus on these by replacement time. Wear has been totally even on these.

The weight and suspension design of these beasts pretty much demand robust tire pressures, if you are to enjoy chrisp handling and avaoid premature tire wear.

Keep them pumped up, boys!

Mine doesn't like being below 36psi, feels sluggish and MPG definitely suffers - standard 225/60/18s on mine

I think my front right is now losing small amounts of pressure around the valve seals. Can anyone confirm the correct torque before I get a service kit.
