4 or 12 pin?

Just a quick question and probably for the more illuminated members (boom boom)

How do I know, without taking the headlamps out whether my ballasts are 4 or 12 pin.

It is a 2008 facelift model and I assume that the original fitment would be a Valeo LAD5G or LAD5GL.

Any help would be much appreciated,

So 12 pin definitely for "later" models?
When I spoke to the local dealer a few weeks ago the parts guy (who did not sound particularly knowledgeable) said that you can not get the ballasts separate and that you had to buy a complete headlamp assembly.
When I mentioned that I don't think that is the case he muttered something about taking a filter off to identify a part number, I need to be absolutely sure about the number of pins as my local Pendragon Group dealership have agreed to replace both ballasts under warranty as one headlamp is not working (not a faulty bulb - already swapped) and the other headlamp is flickering, but they want to order the CORRECT parts in advance.

So its bumper off for definite identification, can Chrysler confirm if you give them a chassis number?

I just had a look at my old headlight off my old facelift 2008 SRT design CRD and its got an LAD5G 12pin fitted on it. The ballast was dated 04/07, the car was manufactured Nov 07 registered end of Feb 08.

Yours should be the same but still not a 100% guarantee though
