Unfortunately because it doesn't lift at all when the button's pressed it doesn't unlatch, thats why they change the struts.

I wouldn't bother changing the switch, just trim the knob. The auto lights will work when it gets dark but check in the evics personal settings, I think you may find the turn on lights with wipers is possibly missing from the software.

I'd change the switch because I like doing things that way - but I'll test it by levering the control out and making sure that position works first. I want the illuminated A.

Is there a guide to EVIC versions anywhere? Mine doesn't appear to have 0-60 in it, there is conflicting info floating about for when and where features were implemented.

My keys only have two buttons, and whilst changing the battery I tried prodding the additional contact pads to no effect. The Magnum forums suggest that with the switch, resistor in the latch and a programmed 3-button fob, the boot release does work though.

I don't remember the A illuminating on my last C and that had the correct later type switch.

I don't think there is a guide anywhere. I think the 0-60 came in early 2007. My evic software is dated Apr 2007 and has the 0-60 in the hidden menu but not the headlights on with wipers function.

The Tourers only came with a two button key and no boot release button.

I took a new Keyfob to the dealer yesterday for programming and my dealer said "you don't need that, your car is due two new keys under a recall". So I came away with two brand new keys and will have to stick my replacement one back on ebay!!!

Result! Nice for a dealer to be honest for a change.
