You need to inspect the welds inside them for cracks and breakage..
£900 is a lot and you can't break the turbo taking manifolds off, sounds like they need some income to me

As I said they may not have that size flexi pipe, there's not many sizes and if you fit a smaller or larger bore one you may upset the back pressure and you know how the diesels with dpf's like their correct pressure. You could try a sports exhaust company to have a look and see what they can do.... but I wouldn't hold your breathe at them sorting it properly as they are a different breed again.
I'm still not sure where that flexi is but if its after the turbo exiting out then no damage to the turbo should occur. My man who did the job on the last one is on a week off so I can't really ask him where that pipe is till he returns

The ebay picture looks different from the ones one the car.

drivers side is straight down, passenger side turns 90 degrees and back under turbo. both have flexible parts 7" from the end

i have fixed it for now with the jubilee clips and baked bean tin,gun gum and a bit of ali tape.

done 70 miles today all ok. will see got a few miles to do this week,

have found a merc specialist £708 all in. no broken turbo he laughed when i told him what stealer said.

I don't mind paying that if someone confident about what they are doing.. if I have too.
