No Neo, its nots a thick question, we try and help here so your welcome to ask away AND I want you to do one more thing before you get that transponder!

Move the rear right wheel to the front aswell, because according to your post 18 you only moved rear left only and didn't following the suggestion I gave at post 17, that is to move both rear wheels to the front

Remember the TMPS works on a process of elimination.

After that, at DIY level all you can do is to replace the transponder. Brand new ones for the front end cost about £44 each from the dealers. So I would think you may be able to get secondhand ones cheaply and there is only 1 located to the rear right side wheel arch that does the job for the rear.

If it works you can buy us all a drink

Surely if there's only one transponder for the rear sharing the the two rear tyres and only one tyre pressure is reading then the sender must be at fault otherwise both rears would be reading zero.....

Surely this points to a problem with the rear transponder? This transponder is able to pick up a signal from the nearest wheel, but not from the furthest one. The suspect wheel does work in a different position, so its sensor must be OK.

Neo only moved the rear left wheel with the new sensor to the front axle and it was working at the front. I'm now waiting for Neo to move the rear right wheel to the front to rule out the odd before tackling the rear transponder.

My thinking is you need all 4 sensors in good working order including the ones on the rear on both sides for the process of elimination to work correctly.

The EVIC did display a reading to the rear. We assume this reading was for the rear right according to EVIC display.

Lets see to be sure before tackling the transponder

Any updates Neo, I assume everything is OK? Would be grateful if you could confirm for info as members will benefit too if we were ever in the same situation as you

Hi Badgx sorry for the slow reply i managed to change the remaining wheel front to rear so as it stands now both the rear wheels are on the front and both fronts on the rear..

And it is still the same ive done 70/80 miles and still have the Nearside rear showing 0.0 bar..

so in all its had...

1, new nearside rear sensor (no change)
2, Wheel deflated and blown up while running (no change)
3, Nearside rear wheel moved to from and front to rear (no change)
4, Off side rear wheel moved from rear to front and front to rear (no change)

So as it stands now no change at all from the original fault...
