I got my brother who works in Bmw parts to call the local chrysler/merc dealer as charlton auto parts i cant get through or a email for some reason, so i thought i might just order a new one got my bother to call them and this was his reply... im getting a bit lost of with this poxy car like i cant see me a 300c ownership lasting long like at all....he is his reply..
Rob, spoke to merc/chrysler dealer today for you and they show a sensor per wheel (I.e 4 of them) for that tyre pressure system, they are £72 + vat each and they have never sold one before. they reckon it will be that you,ve prob replaced the dodgy valve already but requires recoding to clear the fault and reset all 4 sensors together.
Obviously they do this!, if its straight forward coding with the part already fitted its bout £40 and takes half hour. This would also show up any existing
faults in the system if something else is still wrong. He doubts it is the receiver you mention as never been asked for one before. Not to say it isn,t
knackered just it isn,t very common.

whats your thoughts chaps ????
Yep worth a try for 1/2 hour job. I've not heard of resetting codes on the sensor itself but perhaps it is possible as aftermarket ones are 1 skew and are set to order for designated vehicle and activated when dispatched.
The Chrysler way would be to plug in Starscan and work from the vehicle end, which is the otherway round.
Worth a try, same goal and it may work, just have to see.
Yep, on the pre face lift, you can with Starscan but the techs at the dealers need to know how to use their equipment. It can be switched off permanently
So i take it my 2006 300c is a preface lift and hopefully can be done, i think i will call the dealers and ask if they can just deactivate the TPMS fullstop its pointless and a ball ache i think...

i will let you know what they say badgx
OK buddy, keep it posted on their quote but I don't think it will be cheap though, dealers they do charge alot But when they plug starscan, they will be able to determine the fault anyhow
