Tyre pressure monitoring system fault

Hi guys just a quick question actually ref the above TPMS

I bought my 300c and it had just had the wheels refurbished and the TPMS on the dash showed the nearside rear tyre had no air in at all... 0.0 bar..

I asked the garage and they said it might need a new sensor but i bought the car trade so i had to buy it myself which was fine, ive ordered a sensor of ebay and fitted it and its still the same the old one looked fine when it came out and i got the new one fitted and its still the same ive drove about 10 miles since i had that sensor fitted but still showing nil air...

any ideas chaps ????

can these be reset or can the TPMS be turned off or anything like that....

cheers guys....

If you paid less than around £60 off eBay you may have bought an American sensor....theres a lot of them on eBay

we use 433Mhz......the Americans use 315Mhz so it wont work.

I just took the lot out and suffer the bong and warning light as one wheel is still registering 0.5bar even without a sensor fitted..

the system cant be turned off but the bong and light can be cancelled, you will still have the visual in the EVIC though, if all four are removed.

There is a battery in each sensor. It may be possible to get to the battery in the original sensor and check/change it if its flat.

Hope its been activated from supplier and mounted corrected, the stem serves as an antenna. I could try a short motorway run, if may initiate at higher speed.

I know what you mean

You could try rotate the wheels from rears nearside to front offside and see if it made any difference

The facelift models were the ones that had the option to disable, pre-facelift is for a knowledgeable dealer, they would need your vehicle to run starscan.

owners manual states continuous 10 minute drive at more than 15mph should calibrate it.

may be the receiver at fault and not the sensor.
