Question Alternator shield part number

A mate of mine has just bought a 2006 CRD and I advised him to get an alternator shield.

This is the part number I gave him ... K0480178AA

His local dealer, John R Weir in Perth (Scotland), say that there is no such number.

Can anyone advise the correct part number?

TIA

You'd think the dealer would be able to identify the part from its description. I didn't have a part number at the time, but just requested that one be fitted during a routine service. There was no extra charge for labour; just the cost of the part.

You would have thought so wouldn't you. I didn't have a part number when I bought mine.

The correct part number is 04801798AA. Get him to print this TSB and take it with him http://www.wkjeeps.com/misc/LX/TSB_3...0900308_LE.pdf
