Have an Android phone? If so, download the free version of Torque from the Google Play store and buy a cheap Chinese made Bluetooth ELM327 compliant, OBDII interface and you will have every thing you need and much more. I have an adapter in each of my cars. Upgrade to Torque Pro for a nominal fee and you'll have access to more data that you can ever imagine.

Can you confirm that the U480 is able to clear fault codes? I have given up trying to get my ELM327 Bluetooth adapter to do this, in combination with TorquePro. Nothing wrong with TorquePro - just the adapter. I suppose I could try half a dozen different adapters in the hope that one of them might work, but I can't be bothered. I've even tried slowing down the comms rate, but still getting lots of data errors. Something else I'm considering is EasyObdII | OBD-II | OBD2 Software for ScanTool.net USB and Serial Interfaces . This works with a laptop. I'm already using something similar (VAG-COM) for my Audi and this works very well, having the advantage of a direct RS232 cable link to the OBD2 socket.
I have used my U480 on 3 different C's and plenty of other cars but others have found they won't work on there C. I don't know what the outcome was with the last person that bought one that didn't work on there car.
I have one of the cheap V1.5 ELM327 OBD2 bluetooth adapters that I bought off of EBay. Have not used it to clear codes on my 300C, since it nor its predecessor have ever had any codes, but I have used it to clear codes on my 2001 Corvette without any problems. Interesting that some can't get a cheap U480 code reader to work on the 300C either.
