Personally I would never let a car warm up before I drove it as the engine isn't doing any work so it will take a long time to warm up and totally waste the fuel.

Start up and drive off as soon as practical but dont overwork it until it reaches working temperature is the way I think it should be done.

I agree with you Jack but sometimes like in winter you have to warm it up a bit to clear the windows so you can see

Yes your right about windows. I often set off and find I cant see a bloody thing through windscreen after just a few hundred yards. I'm a danger on the road when that happens.

If I'm setting off from home I also use warm water to clear frost from windscreen. Never had a cracked screen yet and ben doing it for years.

i have always babied my cars from cold i never rev them past 2k revs also i never use more than quarter throttle
