We've not long done a front wheel bearing on a 08 Fiesta due to the ABS light on and my diag telling me which one it was and if you google this part number vkba3531 you will see a wheel bearing kit with the magnetic ring on it,it looks like a seal but it's not,it's a very weak magnet and evewn in the bumph that comes with it it tells you to place a small paper clip to see which side is magnetic.I can't show you a live one as they get smashed on removal

I apologise you are absolutley right.
Sorry to anyone I have mislead.

I should learn not to be so big headed and opinionated, but I don't think I will ever change. I have been known to upset many people before. Lol

Its a good write up by the way and well worth reading because it explains the advantage of reliable speed measurement even at low speeds.

Thanks for the Info and the lesson.

Jack

Would I be right in thinking that my issue is down to an ABS issue......these are the symptoms....start car bongs go off and the ABS, Anti Skid and Traction control lights come on, I get to the end of the street and press the brake peddle and it crunches as it does when the front wheels skid but it isnt skidding the lights go out, 5 seconds later the lights come back on and stay on???
The pads and discs were new last month and any braking after the first peddle press is normal?
Managed the get the back end out yesterday to see id the systems were dissabled.....they were lol !!!
Cruise is unaffected???
If it was a faulty sensor how would I know which one it is without specialist equipment???

Cheers,

Jim.
