The ABS fault lights up inside, generally whilst taking a corner. It started in the cold so I thought it may be to do with either the traction or a sensor freezing up. Whilst it appears less sensitive in the warm, it does not seem to be going away and is happening more frequently.
Any ideas on what needs fixing?

There is a sensor at the rear of each wheel that detects the rotational speed by counting the pulses as teeth pass the sensor.
Could be Bad Connection, Dirty Sensor, damaged or missing teeth/tooth or more serious problem.
Find the sensor and check it looks OK and face doesnt have debris on it. Check teeth for damage or missing teeth. Check for continuity of detector with an ohmeter (About 1000 to 5000 Ohms at a guess).
Code is basically saying this particular wheel speed is intermittently dropping for some reason and soes not match the other wheels.
If it definitley only happens when cornering it is prbably the wheel bearing that has excessive play and when you corner the gap between the face of the sensor and the wheel gets too big and the signal would be lost. So if its definitley linked to cornering I would first just check the wheel bearing for excessive play.

Not sure about the sensors on the 300C but on a lot of cars they are magnetic and so pick up all sorts of metallic cr*p which can reduce their performance. A reseat of the connectors where the fly leads connect to the body has fixed problems for me in the past. Squirt of WD40 and a number of replugs to clean up the contacts. Worth a go.

Also, check the state of the reluctor ring (located on the back of the hub) to make sure a loose disc shield hasn't worn it. And while you are there make sure the disc shield is secure and not obstructing the sensor. It may be neither of these but as they only cost time they are worth a look.

All was fairly clean and a little extra cleaning has made no difference.
No teeth in site.
Reluctor ring seems to be in good condition. Very slightly rough in a couple of areas, but same on the other side.
Plugs and connections all looked good, WD40'd anyway.
Didn't have my multimeter so will dig that out to check the continuity of the sensor tomorrow and compare to the one opposite.
Clear the code and go drive a few miles & check if the cruise control works OK. If light comes back, you may need to replace the abs sensor, fairly common problem which triggers the abs light & shuts down the cruise control, esp etc

Did you mean no Teeth missing ?
Alternative would be bad connection or faulty detector. Its just a simple coil so should have a fixed resistance/inductance, but may be an intermittent fault.
It may finally be necessary to check resistance from ECM or just buy and fit a new sensor.
The ABS ring on my kids swift was cracked, it wasn't loose or freely rotating, but the ABS sensor knew something wasn't right.
I guess you'd have spotted this though.
