Hello

Hi to all you guys.
Just joined forum looks cool. Will try to get some pictures sorted soon. Been so busy drivin I haven't even took a photo yet.
This car rocks, definate signs of green eyed monster from colleagues. I could not believe a diesel would be this cool.

Welcome, JA.

I'm enjoying learning of this fine diesel engine you Brits have the somewhat unique opportunity to own.

You're in fine company with several of your fellow countrymen here on the site as well.

You Brits always have had a way with the Queen's English.

hello again Johnny.

oh yes the green eyed monster hmmmmmmm. Perhaps because they have plumped for mainstream cars and your 300C is a "ahem" littel bit differeent. Mabye because your car looks like it should have cost about twice what it did.
Perhaps they have to have a "recognised German brand" and are now seeing how little they get for theit money ?

Regardless, fasten seat belt, turn on sound system (how good is the woofy system by the way), engage silly grin, disappear into the Manchester smog sorry sunset.

see you later

Try to find a big Hemi version and challenge it for a sprint. But ONLY in town, if handled well, the diesel will be a bit faster under 50 kmh, if you shift it manually and stay under 3000 rpm.

Welcome to the forum Johnny

I've just come back to Scotland from Manchester today, in my Ford Mondeo, dont get my 300c until April.

I kept dreaming of, torquey diesel engine, smooth auto box, cruise control, leather seats, (feeling of smugness) etc....

The run from Scotland to Manchester, which I do on a regular basis for work, should be soooo much more enjoyable.

Can't wait til April!

Anyway welcome to the forum, there seems to be some decent guys on here with some good advice & experiences.

Hi Just

I'm doing a round trip Lake District to Isle of Wight this weekend (650 milesish) and all of the things you mentioned above really, really eat up the miles. One thing you haven't mentioned (in fact no one mentions) is the amount of space inside the car I'm 6ft 3" tall, built for comfort not for speed and Arnie absolutely SWALLOWS me up. To have so much space to stretch out on a long journey makes such a big difference (although a Mondeo isn't exactly lacking on the space front).
