Hi BB

according to Simon Elliot, the DCUK Managing Director, they had 400 available in 2005 and hope to sell 2500 cars (including Estates & SRT-8's) in 2006.

I got the info from here
With only a 100 dealers in the UK, that gives them on average 2 cars a month to sell - long may it continue !

In 3700 miles of motoring so far, I am yet to see another on the road.

I believe the total released to dealerships will be around 1700 all told. This is from memory and i would have to confirm the figure but I'm fairly sure it's correct.

DC themselves will use up a number of cars for demo's, coporate cars, national contracts and so on. I doubt that number uses up 800 odd cars however so i'll check my figures at the office and confirm later.

We were given 9 units for 2006 and have 1 left due to a cancelled order. Petrols are still available at some dealerships but the good old CRD is fast becoming as scarce as English grand slams!

To illustrate a point we operate 3 CJ sites and were unable to source a CRD for our chairmans personal vehicle! It would seem the market ain't even damp!

Hi Belmont

9 cars for year seems mean - even to a non Jock.

At that rate they are going to be as scarce as England Grand Slams, but thankfully not as rare as Scottish Grand Slams - last Grand Slam was 1990 if my memory serves me correctly.
