Sadly, I don't think that any of your answers fall under the category of "I love the English because", so I'm afraid I'm going to have to disqualify you (& take all the North Sea Oil while I'm at it).

Perhaps saying love the English was to challenging. Mabye.

I only wish I were so creative! This arrived in my inbox before the satdium was even empty! It could almost have arrived under the heading MTC!

The running in thing is far more than 2-300 miles. I havn't read the thread to which our resident feline refers and so can't comment upon it. I have however run 3 WH Grand Cherokees with the same engine and have found that a great reward awaits the patient runner inner! On each of these vehicles simply being gentle for the first 1000-1500 miles has ensured a MASSIVE hike in performance, consistent achievement of the advertised fuel economies and to date (touch wood) not a single problem with any of our ex-demo units.

It is difficult, particularly in the first few days, to resist the temptation of the throttle but, IMHO, it is well worth the effort. You CRD guys are still few and far between in here yet and so i will be keen to hear your feedback over time. From what i can gather the lake districts answer to the beast of bodmin (is that better than moggie/y?) was amongst the first CRD's in the country. Murph has religiously (he tells us) stuck to running Arnie in properly and his combined MPG say it all!

Hope the weekend brings many happy miles and look forward to some pics.

Belmont.
