That's about 35.7 UK mpg on my estimation.

I vowed not to even select the EVIC fuel consumption screen again until I'd covered about 2000 miles, but I just wanted to know. I am now well happy.

I also used the "Easter Egg" display for the first time, which is a nice talking point & interesting to see, especially the graphic rpm & speed.

Extremely satisfied with the car so far & looking forward to many happy miles ahead.

Hi Just

My favourite EVIC feature is % pedal pressure.
Once your car is run in, you can play the game as well.
It goes like this.
Open EVIC
Select % pedal pressure
See how long that you can keep it at 100% for.
Silly grin appears on face.

Oh happy times.

Hi groovyjay
pretty pathetic so far.

the problem is that 100 mph (160.9344 of your silly kilometres an hour ) comes up very, very quickly.

and in the UK (if you're caught) 100 mph = instant ban.

but it is good fun !!!

by the way, Arnie shifts up at around 4200 rpm, I think that there is more usable power still available - do you have an opinion ?

Let's step up the game and go with 120mph instead of the 100. I have a solid straight of 8 or so miles and I can keep it floored all the way. The coppers will take my licence too if I get caught driving at those speeds, but what the hell, little risk here and there speeds up the blood flow in your system...

Mine shifts 4100 or maybe it's 4200rpm, haven't paid that much attention to it. But at those rpm's it feels like the engine power is already going down rapidly. I can't wait to get my startech installed to see what kind of difference it will make.

OK, lets cut to the chase then !!

On my way home there is a particularly nice stretch of road with a looooonnnnggg right hand curve on it (a motorcylists dream).
From a low speed roundabout (40 mph) to the middle of the corner is (I would guess) about 1 mile (1.6 km !!) in distance.

I bottled out last night at 120 mph. Not because I was scared, but because the car was pulling like a train and would have gone on and on and on.

The thought of getting caught speeding at 120 mph + was what coused my right foot to lift.

Hi Geordie No i have 486 miles actually I suprisingly have been driving so slow because it fits with the way the car looks and feels but every now and then i just have to let go with the right foot. but i dont subscribe to MTC running in routine and i never have had a problem before and i am very lucky to have had over 25 cars and have always driven them hard to show the car what it will expect over the next few months/years, but if anything does happen that why we have warrenty isnt it.

Hi BB

Thats exactly the crux of things isn't it ?

I have always run cars (& vans) in meticulously and I've always had good use from them, so naturally I think that running them in is a good thing - I've always had good results, so I'm unlikely to change my methods.

You obviously take a completely different approach, and once again you have had success with your methods and wouldn't change them.

it's certainly different strokes for different blokes.

If we all did the same the world would be awful dull

Hi again BB....

With a warranty of 3 years / 36 months problems could of course arrive after that time / period has expired.

No probs if (unlike me who actually once ran a Morris Marina from new for 17 years!) you intend to trade on when the warranty runs out.

I wonder why I always buy new?
