Smile Geordie's Got A Delivery Date!

Hi all...

Just got the long awaited T-Rex and successfully affixed the emblem today..(you certainly need a good eye and steady hands!). Also just received the centre console leather arm-rest cover and padding from James at 22- Elite. Highly delighted with the appearance and quality of both items which were well worth importing and waiting for. I'ts frustrating as hell having no car to fit them to though. Can't believe this 'senior' member doesn't even have a 300C yet!

Contacted my dealership today and delivery day now expected to be 12th April when hopefully the current adverse snow conditions blighting the UK will have disappeared and I can savour some practical experiences of the CRD and get some pics submitted.

Regards

Geordie

Hey there BB...

Great news for you and very best wishes for your inaugural voyage tomorrow. Certainly hope the weather is OK for you but be it 'rain or shine' I bet nothing will remove that grin you will have!

I think you are wise to heed the advice re not fitting the performance unit straight away and as MTC constantly states, you may never need to install it.

Just wondered how many of us had a large enough garage to keep the beast in. I am one of the lucky ones but it will mean my wife having to keep her car outside even though the garage is a double width size. I think I am a very lucky chap as it was her suggestion!!

Looking forward to hearing about your first impressions of your CRD.

Regards

Hi Geordie

well happy days will soon be here (but not soon enough)

and for BB
the happy day has arrived HURRAY.

By my reckoning BB that's only 3 hours away.

Don't forget that will be difficult to eat your tea tonight with the silly grin that will be plastered all over your face.

So 3.00 you get the beast
3.05 you'll be posting some piccies !!

yeeeeee haaaahhh

Hi Geordie

Congrats on receiving your delivery date, bet you can't wait!

I just need some decent weather to actually get some use out of mine - snowed in all day Sunday & away on business most of this week without it.

Feels great just seeing it parked on the drive!

The only thing I am still a little nervous about is fuel consumption, I know I'm probably being stupid to worry,(and our US cousins will be laughing) It only has just over 200 miles on the clock, the EVIC is showing 29.7 average since last fill, and I've been driving very carefully. I will need to brim it again when I've done a few more miles. I suppose I probably need to give it a good long steady run of a couple of hundred miles to get a real impression of what its going to do.

Just need to decide now what to do about bluetooth without damaging the dashboard etc. Quite like the idea of the Parrot you mentioned BB.

Cant wait to see your pics BB, and yours Geordie when yours finally arrives.

Cheers

Just

Hi Just

ref the MPG. If your EVIC is talking American then your Beastie is pitching in with abot 36 mpg which is bloody fantastic.
But, if your EVIC is talking English (or in your case Scottish), yo're getting nearly 30 mpg out of a brand new, not run in 3 lt, 2 ton car that hasn't been on a long run out - My first car a Mk2 Escort struggled to get 30 mpg and it was nowhere even remotely close as being as good a car (in fact leagues of difference) from Arnie.

be patient Brother Just and you shalt be rewarded.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but the Licensing office took 5 working days to process my numberplate transfer (bless "em) and i was told that that was quick.
