1.)How can I watch a DVD on the Nav screen.

2.)How do I connect my iPOD to the stereo system?

Seeing as you ex In-Car Entertainment I figured you are the man to tell me.

Looking forward to hearing from you via mail shea@shearider.com

Morning all

Wednesday is day care day for me.
Right Pic of the sat Nav screen is currently a no go there isn't any form of av input into the screen but watch this space, remember it is illegal to have a moving picture in the front of a car when moving.

I-pod link is on its way have seen a beta version awaiting pricing and availability. See if we can get a group buy for you guys going as soon as.

Bentley you will have to use a FM Mod as there is no sound input into the Nav unit, not ideal. Most unit use off board CD Changers remember this has one built in so no one bothered with inputs..

James, how would your dealer react to the a vehicle being brought in with the auto headlight modification that is shown on this forum?

I think that mods like this are treated on there own merits, that is if some thing fails due to a non standard part or procedure then you will end up with a bill but other wise not a prob.
I think it has been said before that HID head lights don't like been switch on and of repeatedly so set the on point sensible

Question Front Number Plate Mount

Morning James...

Did you invert (turn uposide down) the OEM front number plate mount on 'Bentley Black's' car or did you fit an alternative mount?

Regards

Geordie

Hi Geordie I didn't get a choice my number plate has been screewed directly on to my bumper, I have no problem with this as it looks great but i have asked my dealer to give me back the orignal grille and the number plate adaptor when my car goe's in for a evic upgrade on tuesday and if the number plate adaptor looks better with MTC design number plate i will use it.

Hope this helps.

Bentley Black

P.s. pic of the front of car showing number plate

Still, both of my other cars (BMW and Porsch) do have these headlights and are autoswitching. The Porsch system is real clever, it even switches on when I go in full daylight through some dark patches of forest.

And thinking bout it rationally, when the system switches automatically, the driver SHOULD HAVE switched manually. You need headlights when there is not enough light outside to be visible or to be be able to see obstacles.

Thanks for the response BB...

Apologies for the seemingly pedantic persistence re the front number plate debacle but this subject has been of some importance both to myself and MTC.

You are aware that the fitting of a mesh style grille renders the OEM front number plate mount as useless unless, as MTC has done, it is inverted (upside down) and refitted. Of course this practice is only possible with the CRD re the presence of the additional centre air vent.

When spending about £30K on a car I am rather anxious (understanably I hope) that the aesthetc appearance is not marred by the attachment of a 'cheapo' number plate fix. I find it strange that Chrysler actually market a mesh grille as an approved accessory yet do not provide a suitable number plate mount in the knowledge that the OEM mount cannot be used at all with the petrol versions and only inverted in respect of the CRD.

With regard to inverting the mount, this works well unless you are particularly fussy and unable to totally accept that the water drain slots running along the bottom of the mount become visible when inverted.

With respect to the fitment on your car, can I say that it looks very neat and aesthetically correct for a non-OEM item.

Kindly resolve my dilema relevant to your car. You say that the front number plate is screwed directly onto the bumper? Unless my eyes are playing up, I cannot see any screw head covers on your pic! Can you have another look and let me know if you have a plastic frame screwed to the bumper upon which your number plate is probably affixed with 3M type adhesive pads.

Cheers

Geordie
