Hiya James and welcome.

It must be nice for a dealer to have a car that needs no hard sell and will sell it self.

I have a question related to what I have just written is it realistic to get a reduction seeing the demand is so high at the moment. ? Any hints or insider tips from a dealer point of view would be helpful. I know the obvious of look smart and be poilite when haggling. anything else.

PS good news about the accessories reduction if you can get it.

Morning zoro25

Supply and demand this is the first car to generate this amount of intrest they ain't making enough of the things so the answer is "If a dealer is discounting a CRD they are NUTS!" haggle on accesiores thats the best thing but unfotunatley don't expect a huge discount because they are becoming hard to get esp the Grills

Thumbs up James Is My Best Friend!

[quote=James@Ryfield]Little rude to just start chucking posts about without saying hello first etc[QUOTE}

Hi there James...

A very warm welcome to this great forum where you are guaranteed to make more friends than you ever imagined. Now about those discounted accessories that I need...ha ha!

Joking apart just wanted you to know that my DC dealer and at least two others that I approached before I ordered my CRD which is due next month are all NUTS but I'm not complaining about the great discount that I got.

There has been recent debate on the Euro and Ausie forums re the auto headlight function which apparantly can be an easy DIY adaption. Can you confirm whether new build UK spec cars have the auto headlight update incorporating the 'A' letter on the light switch or is it an accessory which I believe might be part no. #4602348AC?

Regards

Hi again James...

Re the auto headlights query...can I refer you to the current thread 'Free Automatic Headlights' on the Australian sub forum and to the entry by member Spock1 who quotes http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php/t=11331 where advice is given re installing the factory auto switch which apparently incorporates the new letter 'A' for auto mode. The switch is listed as part no. #:4602348AC. ?

My queries are:-

a) Do current build 300C UK spec models incorporate this auto headlight switch function with the climate sensor installed in the middle of the dash at the base of the windscreen and

b) If not, is it possible to obtain part no. #:4602348AC or its UK equivalent part no. for retro DC dealer installation?

Regards

Geordie

Your'e right there MTC...it's good to know that 'love at first sight' can also save a bit of cash!

Looks like a 99% successful conversion of those on the HJ site who had any doubts about the 300C eh?

Man,the expectation factor is certainly running high in our house at the moment. It's just started kicking in with me big style since I got my delivery date. Talk about kids and new toys!....

Listen to us all on this site.

We're like kids who've been promised a new train set for Christmas.

Life is good and I'm loving it at the moment.
