Startech CRD chip for the UK.

Evening all, no firm details yet but I have been assured that the Startech chip will be available from your dealer in the near future. This fantastic news comes from a good source on the technical side of the company who recently drove the 300 C and the Grand Cherokee in both chipped and standard guises.

By all accounts the change in performance is truly staggering and particularly noticable from a standing start. From what i can gather the chip will be identical to that sold in Europe at present.

No fixed timings yet and price seems to be in the almost a grand region. £800 - £900 quid is a lot of cash, BUT, no warranty issues. Even better of course would be to fit the chip before collection and bask in the knowledge that it's covered by the manufacturers 3 year warranty!

More news as soon as I hear anything!

Hi Belmont...

That's great news. I spoke to a contact at Startech in Germany recently who stated that as well as improving the performance, there was an added bonus of even better fuel consumption when the SD6 Tuning Kit was installed.

I look forward to hopeful speedy developments with the release date and perhaps more info in the interim?

Regards

Geordie

I talked to the DC guys here in Funland the other week and they said that the kit will be available late march early april. Sounds like the C300R will be getting all sorts of mods come April (wheels, coil overs and tuning kit).
