You are right Murph, THERE IS A RANDOM BUTTON!!! WOOHOO. Upper right RND, only one small problem, it does not work for MP3s, only for CDs. On MP3s, the song info appears as folders on the Nav screen.

well therein lies the problem.

I have only ever bought CD's and never copied/downloaded them so I have never had the problem regarding random play.

PLUS, and it may be relevant here. I'm looking specifically at standalone CD players NOT intergrated with SAT NAV jobbies, it may make a difference.

Plus UK CD players are steam powered and may have to build up a head of steam to work !!

no idea on the pause button one of my annoyances also

in terms of random just press the cd/sat button to go the info screen for the cd then press the random button and you will see it appear towards the top of the screen on the left hand side next to where its says mp3 i beleive...then you can go back to your nav or what not...the only thing is if you choose to look for a song using radio by going into the folder and play that song random feature turns off...if you guys need a picture demo...let me know...work is slow right now...and i have the time...

If you arent that busy please contact Chrysler and get them to update the CD software to programme a dedicated button for pausing the blasted CD's. I cant believe that if your listening to a CD you cant just do this - its pathetic.
