Delivery dates

My new motor is due at the dealers next week (should have been this week). I am being told by the dealer that they hope to receive it on Monday and then have it ready within a few days. The thing that seems odd (although no reason at this time not to trust them) is they cannot be more definate. Surely they must know if it is or isn't on the ship? In my business when people are vague or evasive with lead times it usually means that I am in for a long wait. Hopefully my suspicions are totally unfounded.

Did anyone else have the same experience?

Yep me - but mine worked the other way around !

The car was due on Monday 23rd Jan and turned up on Monday 9th Jan and i got my grubby little mitts on Arnie on Fri 30th Jan (albeit with slightly different spec from what I'd ordered). So in my case I was dead chuffed, but it seems that your dealer only knows what he's getting (for sure) when the transporter arrives on his forecourt !

MTC

p.s. UK Jez are you transferring private plates to it ? if so drop me a line, it's a wee bit more time consuming than it used to be.
