Dodgy Touring performace figures

Mr Chrysler was kind enough today to send me new brochures for both the Saloon & Touring versions of the 300C (& very nice publications they are as well).

But i am curious by the performamce figures quoted for the CRD.
According to the blurb, the Touring is a second slower 0-60 that the Saloon and has a 9 mph lower top speed, which seems excessive for a car that is only 35kg heavier than the Saloon.

Fuel economy figures are identical.

It just seems a bit odd.

Hi MTC, yes does seem strange and, as the owner of a CRD Touring, disappointing....at the moment, I'm not exactly in a position to floor it and find out....a few thousand miles from now and an off-peak trip to a remote section of the French motorway network might confirm it or otherwise. In the interim, a specialist in aerodynamics might be able to provide the answer...cheers. John W
ps. my owner's manual still hasn't arrived
