James May in Telegraph

Just when you thought it was safe to read the motoring press again up comes James May (on Saturday As seen on TV: Eat junk, drive junk - Telegraph) with his views of Americans and their cars. I'd thought it was tongue in cheek but his mate Clarkson is the same.

If we applied his logic to Britain: no british owned car makers and the nation's best loved food is a curry.....

Any other thoughts? Maybe we can draft an open letter ....

I was more interested in the add on the bottom left hand corner Telegraph Dating - Member Profile: KHutchinson.

I might be too old for this lady, but she did rev my engine more interested in her than his comments.

Lets face it the poms love to have a go at the yanks, but at least American cars work regularly (Have you ever seen a Jag in hot weather, it's the car on the side of the road NOT moving).
