Seat Exit Position Not Working

Last night took my son to the hospital in Brum,I dropped something between the driver seatand centre console,I couldnt reach it so I moved my seat all the way forward to get it,then i moved it back using memory recall.
when i next used the car(half an hour or so)the seat wouldnt go to memory unless I pressed the button and it wont go back automatically upon exit.I checked the settings on the EVIC,everything OK.I tried everything to try and reset it to no avail.
Has anyone else have or had this problem and know how to reset it?
Any help would be grateful,Thanks.Ray

Ok,so I tried something out of the blue.If anyone else has this problem try this.
Ignition OFF,move seat all the way forward, then all the way back
Ignition ON,press memory button
Ignition OFF,seat returns to normal behaviour.

The reason I think it happened in the first place is because I moved the seat with the ignition OFF
DOH

So far my seat memory thingy is working perfectly - the only fright I have had was when I let one of my skinny and short legged pals drive it and then park it and switch off. Next day when I got into the car and inserted the key instead of it going to my last programmed position it went to the last used position - the one my pal had set the seat to. Now with my bulk I did begin to panic - I had visions of crushed ribs but other than discomfort before I got to button 1 on the memory I was OK. A thing to remember for the future though.
Cheers John
