Very heavy steering

Hi

Since my dashboard was changed and the new wheels have gone on my previous light steering has gone.... the steering is a lot heavier and tight to turn ???? I went back to the dealer and asked if they had done anything else whilst they had it and they said no and to try it for another week to see if it got better ???????? well a week down the line and no its still really tight ,
I have been checking the tyre pressures both through the evic and at my mates garage but they are fine , I noticed a post where a rack had been changed during the service without the owner knowing about this, could they have done this to mine and they have not adjusted the power steering ?

any help advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

ive been away for a while and must have missed it about your dash and wheels.why did you have a new dash and wheels???.
did you reset your steering wheel as if your battery had been disconnected?

I needed a new dash as a bubble appeared over the airbag on the passenger side..... and the wheels went off (spiderweb lines on the non leading edges of the spokes)...
You have got me thinking now if they replaced the whole dash (apparently 8 hours labour) they might have disconnected the battery so please what do i do to reset the steering as its sending me up the wall, you know that way when you absoloutely love the car you are driving and everything is perfect then one thing happens and it starts to handle/respond differently and because previously it was great the one fault is magnified and that is all you think about.

Cheers

i read it somewhereon the US posts, you have to start the engine,go full lock to full lock and back to the centre and its supposed to centralize and reset everything such as the sensors on the suspension/steering etc.
I dont know about the CRD's but on the Hemi's we have yaw and pitch sensors which need to be reset every time the battery is disconnected.Try it,you have nowt to lose, let me know if it improves your heavy steering

I did the trick for resetting the tcs etc steering wheel to left lock then right lock then centre then switch engine off...... Still no good, looks like a visit back to the dealer.

Looks like you had a visit back to the dealer when you were at Sheilds Road at 3.0pm today!! Gotta take mine back too - the drivers window persistently looses its express lift - despite resetting it as per disconnected battery. They want to replace all manner of bits and bobs inside the doors - sensors and whatnot. Might bump into you in there.
Cheers John

You lot on the wrong side of the wall seem to be having a lot of problems with your cars --- is it the misty weather thats doing it ?
