Dentman

Just got back from being in Sicily for two weeks.

I left my car with Valet parking after being promised it would be well looked after in an indoor lot. I checked the mileage, around the car, etc to make sure it was only being driven the correct mileage and was in perfect condition and sent it off.

Our return flight was delayed 7 hours, so we got back at 1.30AM. I walked around the car and saw nothing (in the dark). The next day I found a good dent in the rear door where someone had obviously opened a door and banged into it. I phoned the company and guess what...... "Sorry Sir, you have to inform us before you leave......."

B*gger, I hope it pops out......

I wrote this in another thread but thought I would give an update after the excellent service I have just received by Martin at Dentman (Mobile Dent Repair in Central London, West London and Surrey - 07774 812 512). He arrived on a bike and within 1 hour had made the 2 inch dent/crease disappear.

A great service, a great job and a good price. These guys come highly recommended.

It is amazing what can be done to the metal/paint on modern cars.

Here in the states, this type of fix is called Paintless Dent Repair.

I have had this done to my other car several times, and each time, they
did a great job, and you could not tell it was ever there!

With todays flex agents in the paint, as long as the dent has not been
creased, and the metal stretched beyond a certain point, most door dings
and small dents can be pushed out with great success.

I have thought about buying a set of the tools these guys use for myself.

You can get them from a company called Eastwood for about 200 bucks.

He must be very dedicated to cycle up from Central London to Rotherham to fix a dent!

Sounds wonderful, I remember in the old days, one need to fill the dent with body filler, sand it down and respray the whole door. (and people can tell the different with newly sprayed door under street light)
