So did you guys use the screws of the sticky pads? I still have my old plates off my 7 series, but they are already drilled to suit that car. Also have a BMW badge on them. I'm not sure if I wanna waste money on a new set or not, but I'm thinking I'd like the clean look with no badge and no screws.

UK CHRYSLER 300C I'm loving the two similar plates for cheap as chips and Stig, the 300CRD plate must look cool.

I run on a Londonderry plate - IUI 1123. I got it in the hope that all the verticals would confuse the auto reader on the Gatso camera process but that thought has proved to be erroneous. However I rather like it, can remember it and can happily live with my pals referring to it as "The Bar Code" ------- and it was cheap in the first place (and me being a canny Scot........)
Cheers John

Mine are screwed on,due to the sticky sh1t the dealers left behind and I had square plates originally but the sticky mess and the holes left behind by the dealers would have looked ugly,so the normal style plates had to be fitted

Have you considered using the numberplate mount, upside down ?

Oops, double post, stupid keyboard at work is on it's way out. I hit delete and it skips back 3 pages! I hit space and it posts a message as if I hit return!?! Oh and it likes to turn on that 'sticky keys' function which is almost impossible to turn off again!

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll go for putting the used 7er plates on and leave it a while to see if the BMW badge gets on my nerves. I just don't see the BMW logo sitting right on a 300C, lol. If the holes are in the wrong place then tough on me I guess.

If I decide to get new plates made I'll try using the sitcky sh1te if I think it will hold the plate with the bend UK CHRYSLER 300C mentioned. Are all 300C front plates bent/curved or does this number plate mount (turned upside down) give a flat surface?

With the black front plateholder the surface is flat so foam pads will work.
I bought a new pair of Jock plates for the Saab of fleabay for a pittance and am delighted by them with post IIRC they were £23

The self-adhesive pads are OK, but you must make sure that both surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and de-greased first. I think the pads sold by Halfords come with the necessary solvent cleaner.

Yeup I have access to gallons of IPA for cleaning both surfaces. I'm even considering using some 2 part epoxy if I have too!! Plates will be a bugger to get off again tho, haha!

Is the plate holder standard on CRD's? I really should pay more attention when looking at cars. Who thought changing over a number plate would have to be planned like a military operation.
