UK Warranty

Right guys whats the deal on the 300C warranty? Is it 3 years or 30,000miles or some other number? Is it what comes first so if I do 10,000 miles in 3 years my warranty would still be up?

What about buying second hand from down south if I stay up north, can I still have warranty work done at my local or do I need to use the main stealer it was originaly sold by?

Can warrant be extended?

A lot of questions I know, but I couldn't find any info on chryslers site. Think I will pop in past my local dealer on the way home from work and see whats on offer. I'll go in with my torn jeans, rigger boots, manky t-shirt and old feece so we'll see if they treat me same as last time when I was well dressed.

John Clark had a habbit of taking me on when I was suited, but ignoring me when I hand my workie stuff on!

Sorry for all the Q's, just thought I'd get a honest answer from you guys without any sales patter thrown in

AFAIK 3yrs or 60,000 mls whatever comes first. Any Chrysler Dealer can carry out Warranty work. Chrysler used to do an extended Warranty but I am not sure if they still do. I used Warranty Direct for my previous G Voyager £35.00 PCM for Gold Cover, same as Chrysler Basic warranty and it was payable month by month so when I sold the Voyager I just cancelled the cover. Hope this helps.

I had heard that they lowered the warranty to 30,000 miles. Anyone else hear this? Or confirm it is still 60,000 miles. I'm buying second hand and wanna make sure I get at least a years worth of warranty.

Cheers gizmo for the info.

Ask to see the Warranty manual before you buy. Here is some relevant info from mine:

For vehicles imported by DCUK: 3yrs/60,000miles

Brake discs 3yrs/24,000miles.

Brake pads: 3yrs/12,000miles.

Sheet metal panels: 2yrs, unlimited distance (actually, I think the 2yrs doesn't include the extra 1yr for UK imports, but the manual does say 2yrs).

Outer-body (visible panels) corrosion: 7yrs, unlimited distance.

Extended Emission Warranty:5yrs/50,000miles. First 2yrs unlimited distance.
This covers all parts which can influence emissions; eg sensors, fuel injection, exhaust pipes, catalyst, EGR valve, vacuum hoses, etc.

The warranty seems quite good, apart from the discrepancy between the two types of body panels.

In my experience, I'm sure Mark will look after you well, no matter what you're wearing. Alan on the other hand was a bit dismissive of me in my casual gear.......

I always deal with Mark!
