Sorry John,
I'd love to meet up, but unfortunately can't make this one - family commitments

cheers

Ian

Yeah, the problem is more likely the fact that my hemmi is now expected at the dealer on April 1st (and windows would probably need to be tinted then). So a bit later than originally expected.. I hoped to be able to drive around all 4 days of Easter in my hemmi, but that is not going to happen... desillusion, disappointment, etc, etc ... (only just no tears yet)...

Oh and Florin: luckily I am indeed NOT blond... :-)

I feel a bit left out of all this jollity and merriment, but I cant be driving to scotland, to f***ing far I am well up for an english meet if there is any call for it. anyone else interested? I know this has been tried before but that was before my time and I have to say from the outset am notoriously **** and lax about organising things.

anyhow hope you guys have a good day in scotland

p.s. back in 2001-2002, I used to drive from London Borough of Brent to Central Aberdeen (535 miles) there and back each week for 9 months in a Diesel Clio with 75HP and did it in 7h30m once and 8h00m reguarly with one 5 minute fuel stop near carlisle, the thought of driving up there fills me with dread now.

regards

Hi Elpirata, Thanks for your good wishes but there is nothing to stop you coming up and joining in. The hotel is available and if that doesn't suit then there are loads of B & B's in Lanark and the surrounding area - even a Youth Hostel of luxury standard. In truth, Scotland has been threatening to hold a meeting since last August and it has taken until now for me to realise that if I don't do it then as like as not no one else will. So how long before you get another English meeting organised - will you and your beloved 300C have parted company before then?? We are not pushing our meeting as a Scottish affair but a British and indeed a European one - we are open to all comers (and whisper it - even Forum Z and LX Forum Members if they read this) The arrangements are made - so please everyone, come along and join in with us. Oh yes, and thanks Evansjm for being the first from south of the border to pledge your attendance.
Cheers John
