I wondered that myself - I await the comment that that is only one of two garages and the other one is much larger. Other than that there has been a large investment in an awful big shoehorn!!
Cheers John

It barely fits, with the mirrors folded there's a couple of inches clearance either side. The garage becomes wider once inside however there's a supporting pillar for the wall on the drivers side so the door doesn't open wide enough to get out

In one of the pictures you can see padding attached to the garage wall on the passenger side. This protects the doors from being scratched plus assists in my exit procedure which involves sliding across into the passenger seat as you can open the passenger door far enough to get out.

Great pics. Thanks. I like the look of these new 20in wheels. What's the SatNav like? Is it touch-screen and, unlike the old one, can you put in postcodes? Cheers. John W

welcome to the 2008 model club, not many of us yet, the SRT-D looks very nice, I managed to get my boss to buy the standard diesel, which I am very pleased with and as it is a company car, I am very fortunate, I have done over 4000 miles in my 5 weeks of ownership, it is truly a great car, but then no one reading this will disagree with that!!

Maybe you could sleep in it, would solve the getting out in the garage problem !!

The second garage is a similar size but has been converted into a small workshop to house all the tools required to keep the Range Rover in working order. The ever expanding tool collection appears to be a requisite of Land Rover ownership

The MyGig does have touch-screen and the postcode feature which we successfully tested last weekend on a trip to Dumfries then across to Ayr via Castle Douglas. All in we did roughly 670 miles last weekend and the car performed without fault. It's done just over 1700 miles since delivery in early April and the oil has only needed to be topped up once requiring less than 250ml.

Pity your trip north wasn't this coming weekend - you could have dropped into New Lanark and met up with us. If however you feel like putting a few more miles on the car and still coming this Sunday feel free - you will be more than welcome.
Cheers John

There seems to be a few of us that are drawn to Land Rovers as well as the 300C. I currently have a garage full of Land Rover required tools but no Land Rover after having got rid of the 90 and V8 Discovery II last year!
