Hi John, sorry to hear about the Stag mate. For what it's worth, I fear the market for them has dropped somewhat - I've been trying to sell mine for 3 months now with no takers. had a couple of tentative questions but not even as much as a visit to see it. Shame, it's a good'un.

Hi Brian, I got what I reckoned was a pretty fair price for the Stag considering the engine was knackered. I would have put another engine into it but the guy who does the Stag work in Scotland wanted £2.3K for an supposedly recon engine but he would not warranty it at all. I didn't fully trust him and considered that the so called recon engine could have been a scrap one reconditioned with a steam jenny on the outside so opted to let him buy the salvage instead. End product was that I got the £2.3K instead of him. When we next meet up again I will tell you the tale of the Scimitar which I almost got lumbered with had it not been for my neighbour who is a car dealer and managed to get the garage who had issued the MOT on the Scimitar to come up to Scotland and buy the car back from me. I think you can guess the story yourself. EBay - never again for a car!!
Cheers John

The only Startech item I have purchased is the grille. After a year if one looked very closely there was traces of micro blisters along the bottom of the surround. It was replaced without any trouble by the dealer under warranty. Whether this indicates generally poor quality I don't know. Could have been a one off or part of a bad batch or it could be indicative of something much worse - you will have to make up your own mind on that one. At least mine was replaced without any hassle.
Cheers John

Paid $165 for my bentley grille delivered to UK - bought it from E bay USA ( Bling King Chrome Accesories ) item number 200242118232. Fits perfect with no problems at all. Comes well packaged with all instructions to fit.

Why pay silly UK dealer prices when you can get them new for £82.50

eBay Motors: 05-08 Chrysler 300 Chrome Mesh Bentley Grille Grill (item 200242118232 end time Aug-25-08 22:40:58 PDT)

Looking good Floyd and....

HOLY COW

I'm sat here looking at the forum for the first ime in months.

I'm reading this thread cos mine went in for a service about 2 weeks ago and I whined about the grille and wheels....

and....gets a call from the dealer - 'your new wheels and grille will be here this week' when do you want em fitting??!!!

How spooky!!!

PS the '300C' side badges are also goosed but they dont need to ask about those, they can just change em.

Mine is a CRD just 12months old

Well happy

Simon
