Tell me about the Hemi's being available at reasonable prices. It was soooooo hard to stick to a just over a year old CRD rather than a Hemi of the same age. Black CRD so bloody hard to get at a good price!! Hemi's are such beasts I guess less people want or can afford to run them - I want one, but can't afford to run it

LPG is no option with my avg miles sitting at under 4000 a year. Combine this with the fact I will only drive the C evenings and weekends it would take for ever to pay the LPG conversion off.

Ah well, I've got my CRD arriving in 2-3 weeks so I'm a happy man, the Micra will be going in for a service and kept as my daily driver to and from work... but of course I will have to take the 300C a few times just to show off

I have to say thanks guys for all your help and advice over the last few months, you have moved me from the 7er to the 300C.

Congratulations on finally making the move on the CRD - you won't regret it. We've all enjoyed having you around with or without car - but it is nice that you will finally be in the fold properly. Pity you won't have it in time for a week on Sunday - it would have been really nice if you had come down with a nice new (to you) car. Let us all know when you get it so we can again congratulate you.
Cheers John

Did around 2,000 km (1,200 miles) in the last 2 days, averaging 7 litre/100 km (40 miles/gallon). Diesel price A$1.67 per litre (77 pence in UK money). No complaints, overtaking some haulage trucks (6 miles/gallon) at 160 km+/hr during the trips, the experience is worth every cent (penny). I don't care much about the fuel price now a day, transferred the ownership into my business so it is all tax deductible. The truth is there aren't much we can do, certainly not a revolution, just pass on the cost to my future clients.

If the fuel wasn't going up we would have more cash in hand causing more inflation causing the interest rates to go up.
It makes no difference as the government will just balance it out.

Thanks John, I will have to re introduce myself in the newbie section when I become a proper 300C memeber. I've been looking at the 7er and 300C since Jan and have had both dealers looking for a car for the last month. I have to say I prefer the C on the outside and the 7er on the inside and would have been happy with either.... but.. the 300C does stand out more and 7er's are very common now. I asked the dealer for something 1-2 years old, black, bently grill, etc etc and a price I'd like it at. Ended up paying a few hundred over what I wanted, but they are going to service the CRD foc way before its due so I don't have any worries. Over all I'm happy and now can't wait to get my hands on the car.

It is a pitty I won't have it in time for the meet, but I have my good friends home leg stagger that weekend so wouldn't make the meet anyways. Thats wedding number 5 so far this year, had 10 last year and 2 next year, 1 the year after! Costs a fortune to go to all these weddings!!!!

Anyway, I'm waffling because I'm at work and can't think of anything except getting my car. I also think this thread has gone way off topic, haha.

A bit more on topic- All the MPG readings everyone is getting sound good to me. The demo I had for a 24hour test drive was great and the fuel hardly moved with around 50-70 miles put on it. I didn't have a clue how to play around with the EVIC thingy (or sat nav, air con, radio, etc etc!). I just got in and drove

I worked out the Micra was returning about 40MPG give or take so anything in the 30's with the C is great considering the upgrade in car!!!!!!!!

just an update. reset the MPG when I picked the car up last Friday. As of about an hour ago i'd done 296.4 miles at an average of 28MPG. The car now has 321 miles on the clock and I've enjoyed driving it every second.

it's fetching lots of looks and has been mistaken for a Bentley by 2 (so called) garage mechanics. Funnily enough a continental GT parked next door to it this morning and I have to say that I prefer mine... it looks far more aggressive and able.

stay smiley coz i sure as hell am

Most expensive fuel in Scotland

Its official! The most expensive fuel in Scotland (and probably the UK) is in Kirkcaldy. Serves them right for voting in their MP!

You kind of hope that those profiteering in this kind of way go out of business as a result of people refusing to use them for future business.
