Dave,

Not sure about that screw to be honest, on mine there is a plate on one end and once removed you have access to a set of jumper pins, moving the jumper to the right increases the power step by step, I run mine as far right as it will go with a very big difference in power.

Does your box look like it has any such panel, mine is held on with 2 screws.

Stef

Hi Stef

The box has two screws on the top, when you remove the lid, all you see is a plastic block with a small brass screw, I have turned it all the way clockwise, been out for a drive, and it seems to be smoother, but I'm not sure if it is my head or not, I think I will contact diesel tuner, as they should be able to tell me what to do with the screw

spoke to diesel tuning today, and it would seem that the box I have bought is CR1 box and is not suitable for a 2008 model, as they made some minor modifications to the engine.

Looks like I will have to buy a new one

I have found Diesel Tuners to be most helpful, have you asked whether they will PX your CR1 for a CR2?

Also if you are looking at spending £200 + for a new chip, someone wrote about a £300 remap which sounds better than a chip. - just a thought

The person I bought it from on ebay has been very kind and refunded me for the chip, I thought it was the best option, just need to save a bit more money and not tell the wife, she just doesnt understand why I want one when she needs new clothes

why dont you have a look at the spider as it is more advanced than the CR2 and made by the same people.
