I've got IE7 and broadband speed about 2450kbps (just checked it). The time to load the pages varies depending on what sort of page you are downloading, whether it needs to check for new data and 'idle' time (ie. you are not asking the system to do anything). The latter has a big impact; if you keep refreshing the pages it's quicker; if you leave it for a minute it then takes longer to load and often I'm staring at a blank screen for about 2-4 secs. I've seen this sort of thing before in programs using .Net.

I'm sort of getting used to it but it's not as good as it was. But what is....just look at Vista!

The Senior Staff are well aware of the problem with the white page and the delay in downloading pages. The matter is being addressed and within a couple of days it should be sorted out. Irrespective of Broadband speed and ability I think most Internet delays either occur or are more obvious during European afternoon and evening i.e once America wakens up. There is an obvious increase in demand from about 1.0pm GMT which equates to morning switch on in the Eastern States - and that phenomena gradually worsens as the rest of America comes on-line into our evening. But give it a couple of days and I think we will see a big difference.
Cheers John

Hi, See post #3 (by me) in this thread. Again issues have to be resolved with the new layout so as I keep stressing - give it a day or two to settle before getting over-excited.
Cheers John

We'll see what happens in a few days then but by the look of it the only way to get rid of those annoying ads on the left is to cough up $30.

I got a few messages a short while ago indicating the actions being taken to correct the slow page load problems, and that they would be in effect soon.

Fast forward to now, and I'm back to warp speed again!!!
.... anyone else? If not yet, you should be very soon, hang in there!
