I fuel only v-power diesel

I mean yes, we are driving an ultra-modern engine with piezo injectors and should only receive the best there is also much less soot particles.

we have a better and cleaner combustion resulting in better emissions and less soot particles and that is good for our filter and the injectors whole stay clean and free from corkiness.

underage consumption, I have not found.

everyone must decide for themselves whether the more price

i hope you can understand my "goooooooooooogle english "

I think we get the idea Sox - particulartly love to stay "free from corkiness" with my injectors! Nothing worse than corkiness! ... oh yes there is - I'd stay away from "underage consumption" I think, unless you want to end up in the same sort of trouble as Gary Glitter!!! lmao!

Joking aside, you make a very good point about looking after our engines with only the best - I will try a tank and see...

No problem with the understanding sox, I love "corkiness", but we know exactly what you mean.

A few years back me & Mrs Just went to a Rock festival in Holland, and tried to translate the website for the festival using babelfish.com, it wasn't much help, and needed a lot of guesswork, but we got there in the end.

I'm tempted to try Shell Advance or whatever it is called, as there is a cashback offer on the credit card I happen to have which offers around 2p cashback per litre there, and that would help offset the difference if I can get a few extra mpg.

v-power and ultra do make a dieselhead run smoother. Can't say either way about mpg. But it was fun testing it on the Autobahn. LOL

I saw the 5th Gear piece on this subject too and it did seem to suggest that you would get a few more horses and possibly more mpg. However here's a thought: how does supermarket diesel compare with ordinary diesel from the big name oil companies? Has anybody tried a comparison?

If you're referring to the Shell Citi card, the cashback is 3% on Shell and 1% on any other purchase. The cashback can only be redeemed for more Shell fuel, but so far this has netted me several "free" tank fulls of Shell Extra. Have yet to find a V-Power Diesel pump. Overall mpg is 35, mainly motorways and "A" roads.

I have tried BP Ultimate, but not really convinced the extra cost is worth it. Wouldn't touch supermarket fuel, especially not after the contaminated fuel fiasco.

Just from my experience.
I have used shell vpower diesel in Germany with a Ford Motorhome, it wasn't available here at the time. the rig was over 4 tonnes , had a 140bhp 2.4 tdci engine with 6speed manual on the floor. Did 20 on the Autobahn cruising at 80mph. All I can say is I noticed the improvement a couple of mpg, but the motor just loved the stuff , was even more responsive to the throttle, and it was already quick.
BP Ultra does the same job.
All I can say is try it, and I hate paying extra per litre.
Also stay away from BIO. Send a PM and I'll fill you in.
Hope this is legal guys.

Petrol wise Shell vpower is 99ron all the others are 97 ron standard petrol is 95ron don't ask me what it means all I know is Shell vpower performs much better than any of its competitors. I have filled my c300 with the Shell Vpower diesel and with Sainsbury's taste the difference diesel, and I cant tell the difference but its early days Ive only filled up twice (in one week! to think I bought a diesel to cut down on my visits the the petrol station? )

Pete

Ah but Peter, if you are using Sainsbury's "Taste the Difference" diesel you do have to remember that slogan is their marketing tool for groceries - don't drink the bloody diesel - it doesn't taste nice!! And drinking too much will almost certainly affect your car's fuel consumption.
Cheers John

I take it that Shell vpower has the new anti-corking additive then?
