The finer details

OK, here goes.

On Saturday 4th of July, Santa Pod Raceway Drag Racing at Santa Pod Raceway UK - Motorsport Venue (Wellingborough, Northamptonshire).
Meet between 10am and 11am, (If you arraive, after this time, members will probably want to go and watch the racing, so you may have difficulty in finding us.)
Having never been to Santa Pod, I'm not sure what the likelyhood of us being near our cars, so we can watch for late arrivals. ?

Upon arrival, tell them you are with the "Chrysler 300c Forum" and drive around to pitside where an area will be marked out for us.

Contingency Plan.
Suppose it rains, and the racing is cancelled, do we want to meet at a pub, (if so, I'll make a few phone calls, to see if anyone can cater for 20 cars... lol)

Or Motorway services (M1 J15a),
Or would we prefer to arrange another date ?

I think a pub nearby sounds like a good idea, I'm sure the weather will be fine, I have done a long range forecast, and it looks like it will be dry.

I will be travelling up on Friday anyway as I have a hotel booked, is there any indication of how soon we would know if racing was going to be cancelled, or is the decision made on the day ?

Send a message via MSN to lambournkoi
They would normally cancel it as and when it rains as I believe they can dry the track after rain/shower's stop.

Two questions guys

1. Do you have to wear a skid lid when going down the track?
2. You know how Ray said you do left foot on brake 2000 revs then go, because of my polio left leg isnt that strong so can you use the handbrake to take it up to 2000 then pull release lever to go ?

Looking forward to this

Cheers

Stig (Michael S!!!)
