Picked up my 57 300CRD Tourer (11K) on 26/03/09 with the agreement that they would order new wheels under warranty. Had a call today that they have arrived. I guess the new ones will corrode just the same but they will look good for a while.
Just two weeks into ownership and love this car.

I had a further interesting discussion with Mr Bailley of Chrysler UK today - sadly cut short as I had a doctor's appointment to attend to. However we did discuss the comments expressed on this thread especially regarding consideration being given to vehicles only recently over their warranty date. The logistics of the proposed offer weren't discussed due to me having to cut short the conversation but the current state of Chrysler was mentioned and suffice to say that Mr Bailley is pretty confident that Chrysler will continue as a company and that some form of "deal" will be struck with Fiat once the current negotiations are concluded. The point at the end of the day is that Fiat want into the American market, Chrysler want small engine technology (and backing), and the American government and more so Barak Obama a very NEW President, don't want the embarrassment of letting a major motor manufacturer go to the wall. It is in everyone's interests to reach some form of positive conclusion and hence he, and for my part, I, think the future will still have Chrysler there. I will be back in touch with Mr Bailley in the next couple of weeks when I hope we will have more detail to report on the idea of using the services of Pristine to refurbish Chrysler wheels.
John
After an unfortunate lightish glancing blow with a granite kerb incident in Olney about 3 years ago, I took my Ford Galaxy to Pristine for a quote. As I drove in I immediately noticed the spanking new Aston DB9 in the bosses parking space, however the place was very quiet with seemingly no work being done. Then upon entering their "office" I noticed the wall was festooned with Porsche, Ferrari, Masserati, Lambo etc rims. Anyway after several minutes of sucking of teeth and mental adding up the "technician" came up with £130.00 to "refurbish" one wheel. Once I got off the floor, I pointed out to him that my car was a Ford Galaxy and not one of those on the wall, and that I could buy a brand new well for £110.
Needless to say they did not get my custom.
I am sure they do a good job, in fact a neighbour of mine is in the process of having his Porsche wheels "done" at the moment and he is paying the £130 per corner also. They do look good. I'm just glad Chrysler are paying.
Well done John BTW,
Re the swirl chamber - is this going to be a "recall" or a warranty job? 'coz if it's the latter I'm just over the 3 years.
