Hi and Intro

Hi to all my fellow Europeans.

New on the forum and had a warm welcome from all those on the other side of the lake and they advised me to pop in here to see whats gonning on on this side of the water.

Got a 300C CRD from 06 bought from new by my Farther in law here in Bulgaria. Back in UK i was never in a position to own such a monster.
Unfortuanly with high fuel prices here we have ended up with the diesel, despite me wanting the 5.7 4x4 version.

That said I am actually very satified with the straight line performance, although the cornering and braking leave a little to be desired and the vast expanse of interior plastic does start to dissapoint after a few years.
Being the 06 model there are other minor niggles that the 08 onwards models changed. Things like the electric movable pedals, padded arm rests and both seats having magazine pockets on the back, not just the drivers seat like mine is!!!

Looking forward to the cabrio in 2010 (figers crossed).

Anyone got any cool ideas of how to make my diesel more inspiring?

Regards

Martin

Welcome to the forum Martin.
Electric moving pedals?? I have not seen them in mine..
Get it remapped or fit a Spider tuning box, that will wake the beast up!!!

Hi Martin.
Welcome to the forum..
A remap, or tuning box will give you approx 50 extra horses, maybe a cold air intake, might give you a 1 or 2 extra bhp, but more importantly a nice induction growl.. then maybe some blastin bobs just to finish off the growl.

However, I'm sure Ray will be along shortly with his CRD tuning tips.

Yep, make sure that your tyre pressures are spot on. A couple of PSI under what they should be really affects the handling.

Put a set of 20's on and it will make the handling much more responsive.

Hi Martin.
welcome to the forum.
Do you have the Sat Nav option in your car?
If so, which countries does it list, (go to some part of the menu)
I have been to Poland, Czech, Slovakia & there is no on screen mapping! Although it does work in Austria & right up to East german borders.
Regards from England!
