a 2 yr old 300c SRT8 - jesus !!!! what an absolute bloody flying machine !!!
Guy i bought it from has owned it from new and it has a FSH. Car is in immaculate condition and is still under warranty.
I picked it up yesterday and drove it home. Feels very similar to the 300CRD except a much firmer ride due to the SRT8's suspension. On the way home i was playing with the power and the shear torque / acceleration is amazing. Much quicker than my C5 vette and F150 Lightning. Autoshifter a little sloppy and hesitant to accelerate at certain speeds ( i like them to drop down a cog and rev as soon as you hit the acc pedal ) but apart from that im hooked.
Dont let the tax / mpg thing put you off. I was cruising at 65mph and getting 30mpg on the way home, with 21 mpg knocking round town. The owner left me nearly 6 months worth of tax and 3/4 tank of fuel ( nice man :-D ) but even at £200 for 6 months compared to the tax on the 300 CRD its worth it for the thrill factory !!!
First thing im doing is changing the oil ( 0w 40s mobil ) then getting new mats and a proffesional valet. Then im taking the wife up to Comlongon Castle in Scotland to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary !!

and a f00ked up immobiliser that Chrysler UK took 6 weeks to fix..WTF
USA and they cost around £200,I have seen some on Ebay but their still in the USA,its the best £200 you'll ever spend on the car, they have free downloadable updates too
it may well come with a USA power supply as well so dont be tempted to plug it in to 240v you might need another 12v but maplins etc have loads.
you shouldnt take the 12v from the car as you shouldnt draw current from the battery when uploading and downloading. follow the instructions carefully with it and make sure that you have the right firmware and that you 100% ensure that you take a copy of your stock profile for warranty or for reinstatement that way you can put the original back and keep the pred. if you dont the pred is useless to you and oh boy have you double knackered the new owner. keep the pred OUT OF THE CAR !!! if its nicked you are screwed so keep it safe or its a drama and keep the receipt for christ sake.
the pred will indeed transform the car to another sublime level even with the stock canned 95 tune but whilst buying that i would also get a cai for it as you then save on the freight. for about ten bucks more you can buy the 180 T stat and you have now cracked the three most common mods and as i say its not loads of dough. with the pred you can then adjust the fans for the t stat.
you can now take off the speed limiter and do 170 ish and step up the gear shift to make it firmer and later and then up the rev limiter to ensure that it is way above that.
funny as heck stuff.
enjoy

Once it arrives i hope you dont mind me asking you ( via email / phone ) a few questions about setting it up correctly. My experience with
stuff like this is always speak to someone thats done it before and get there feedback.
The Predator will make such a difference you won't believe it! I'm sure Russ, myself or Ray would be more than happy to answer any questions you have and don't forget the SRT8 section here too, I've gained loads of info from fellow SRT8 owners here too.
