300c parts book/repair manual?

Does anyone offer a parts book or workshop manual for the CRD in the UK??

Sorry if there is an obvious thread I have missed somewhere with this info on?

MAybe not what you are looking for, but I see there is now a haynes manual. I'm thinking it may be worth a purchase to add to my other haynes manuals which I never use, lol.

I've got a little swirl motor mod that I've done and I'm currently monitoring it to see if it has stopped the oil weeping out of the rubber seal between the hoses. I just don't know why they didn't clamp that hose in pace or use a connector rather than relying on a rubber gromit type thing to hold the hose in place and not allow any oil to pass through!!! Bams.

I had a look at the breather arrangement in my own car recently. Although the orange rubber bung thingy between the breather pipe and the bigger air intake pipe is a potential weak point, I don't believe that it is the main cause of the leak that kills the swirl port motor. I believe the bigger orange seal between the air intake and the turbo itself is the problem. It is just visible underneath a jubilee clip. I could be wrong of course, but it seems to me that this is where the condensed oil will gather. It also makes sense that this seal could be improved with a double lipped arrangement.

Does anyone know for sure which seal is improved in the modified version?

Ah yes it could well be. I noticed on mine that the breather pipe the rubber bung was covered in oil and it was gathering on the underside of the pipe and on the plastic housing below the pipe (swirl port motor?). Didn't notice any signs of oil from the seal between the turbo and intake pipe, but it is very hard to see whats going on there.

Anyone (as per Chills post)?

This post of mine from 22/7/09 explains how I stopped the oil leaking from the turbo inlet pipe and 4 month on it is still dry,If you remove the pipe and inspect the seal arrangement it is obviouse what a crap design it is that can be cured with a bit of oil resistant silicon sealant.
I could not figure out how to link to this post so I copied and pasted it

Posts: 34 I rang the dealer today he had none in stock and three on order from june and does not know when they will be in the country so i decided to try a diy cure,
I removed the pipe and discovered that the oil is leaking around the outside of the rubber seal and dripping through the slots in the plastic pipe under the hose clip,
I removed the seal and cleaned everything up with meths including the oil spill below the pipe and then refitted the seal to the pipe with a bead of silicone at the back of the seal to prevent oil passing between the seal and the plastic pipe I also put silicone in the slots in the pipe out side of the seal just in case.
I also cleaned up the seal on the pcv hose and put a bead of silicone around that also.
I should point out that no silicone is used internally in the air flow to get sucked into the engine.
Hopefully this repair will stop the oil leak and preserve the swirl motor for a while,Fingers crossed.

Alan.
