Saw a black one with a private plate on in Nuneaton on Friday morning - plate started with an L.

Black saloon last night going north up the outside lane on the M1 in bad traffic. Debadged boot I think (was dark). Reg V9 ***.

Hee! Well it made me smile, I forget the last time I had a car where people recognised each other - even the 'enthusiast' cars I've had like Mk 1 MX5 and Rover 114 Cabriolet, other drivers of such cars, no waves.

I don't know how frequently you can do them, but surely being able to do a couple in a year is better than being forced to have fines or whatever the alternative is?

If ever a car with Mercedes kit in it needed Mercedes' rather handy speed limiter function...

The 300 is normally the car that doesn't get a wave, my weekends are spent in an MGB V8 where everyone says hi, and the wife has a PT convertible, pretty much all the PT drivers wave :-)
