Question Dam!.... played with the jumpers and MIL light won't go off

Played with the Spider jumpers yesterday (moved them up) and this morning after a boot full got the sulk mode (ETC flashing) and MIL light.

Moved jumpers (Revs & Power) down one and no more sulk mode/ETC but MIL light still on. Cars been stopped started a couple of times, will it go out when it decides everything is 'hunky dorey' (if so how long/how many miles) or does it need turning off?

If anyone knows the optimal jumper settings for the Spider please tell (9 rows of 3 pins/top = revs/bottom = power.... I think)

When I had a Drake2 on mine I tried it on both 7 & 8 both of which caused the BONG/FLASH result when booted. The amber engine shaped light stayed on for a while although the car ran ok. I think it reset itself after about 5 normal starts.

Thanks Bob, The car runs ok i.e. no limp mode, so it seems it'll just be a waiting game for the MIL light to go off then

If it doesn't go off on your drive tomorrow, I would disconnect the battery for a minute or so and it should go off, this worked on my bro's car when his went into limp mode.

I had a MIL that went off at Cirencester having started at S'Hampton, if that gives you an idea?

A longish battery disconnect works usually too.

I'm expecting one en-route to Towcester - I did the t-stat today

Mine seemed to reset itself... apart from the window. I had to do that myself.

Cheers Simon, managed to turn the MIL out with Miles's Predator. He just plugged it in and although it wouldn't allow deletion of the code (Fuel Rail Pressure) on next IGN turn after removing the predator the MIL went off.

Not convinced I have the Spider at its optimum, still doesn't feel as yours did when I tried it.
