I've been trooping round in a 4x4 on nights......bit of a nightmare when both Severn bridges, the M50 & all routes to S.Wales were closed at the same time - Despite advice loads of people tried stupid stunts - we killed a van & an X5 trying to rescue people

I'm thinking of trading my car in for a submarine... Sick of this flaming weather, I wouldn't be surprised if this year turns out to be the wettest on record in the UK.

Not seen much around here apart from the odd road flooded by about 4"-6", Did have to drive through about 2' at 4am last Friday near Abergavenny in the lorry, That was fun.

KB, Why was the new bridge closed ?, I know they close the old one on the weekends occasionally to do maintenance, Got to use that daily in the lorry.

We've just had a Fiat Doblo go through a flood, when I say through he didn't make it all the way and the water was coming in through the door seals,we've took the glow plugs out and turned the engine over to get rid of all of the water in the cylinders,we put the plugs back.........it's screwed..we knew it would be but you have to try don't you

I don't understand why people even try it, you know? It's not like the whole "water not compressing terribly well" aspect is some great secret.
