Adding speakers??

I was thinking of adding 2 more speakers to the rear doors.
Has anyone tried this and could it be done. I was thinking that it could be wired in to ither the front or the back speakers. But do the wires for both front and back run under the door sill molding? It comes off easy i took off the rear on to see if you could get the wires but u have to take off the B piller with screws and it was to late to do that. But my question is do you have to do any thing to the head unit or can i just splice in the 2 wires.

Well this is on my things to do list. But I have already added an amp and will be adding another. So I will run my own wires to that location right from the amps.
