$552?

I paid $265 shipped and the mesh is nearly identical. These companies need to get real. E&G kudos to you for keeping your product pricing realistic and maintaining a relationship over the forums.

You can't really say that the E&G grille is the same as the T-Rex grille. Looking at the pictures you can already see the differences. And believe it for not $550 isn't that expensive because for example a Trendz grille for a Escalade is around $750. If you want quality then you will pay more and im not saying that the E&G grille is crap but I do think the T-Rex will be the better grille quality wise.

I for one love the price of the E&G grill, especially the gb going on for $265 shipped. However after seeing the strut grill, the one thing that really stood out for me is the boldness of the border around the mesh -when compared to the E&G...well, there really isn't a comparison. The extra gleam of the chrome on the strut grill was also very appealing. That being said, I would never pay 2K+ for a grill, I don't care whether or not I have the money for it. So I have been following the progress of the T-Rex grill closely. And here is some info that might be useful for some of u who r still undecided on their grill of choice: Actual production pieces of this grill will be available starting on Jan.15th (depending on how well connected your dealer is) , The reason the pic on their website says " picture may not exactly match actual product" is because their pic includes the rear wing emblem off of the 300C and so that no-one thinks that they will be getting the emblem or that this is an OEM part- they need legally to put in that disclaimer, Their process of rust proofing and finishing their grill includes an anioxation (sp?) step at the end that creates the shine and gleam that is on the strut grill (the same process they use) which does not require us to use chrome cleaner to constantly brighten the chrome, Finally and most importantly PRICE - the price of $552 is inacuurate, the link I have included below will lead you to a site that is currently selling it for $425 - I will be working on a GB in Jan with a local dealer in NY that will get us the unit for $390.
I for one appreciate the quality, price and sevice that E&G brings to the marketplace but I just like the way the T-Rex grill looks and for $120 more it is well worth it for me to be to totaaly happy with my choice.
I will keep you all apprised of details on the GB in the upcoming weeks.

Projekt 300C - it sounds like you have been in contact with T-Rex on this. Can you confirm which style they are producing? Do you know if they are going to offer the lower vent mesh inserts as well?

The picture on the 300C is the actual production grill. The grill on top was a computer re-generated pic of the first design (they were trying to make it as close as possible to the Strut grill). The grill on the car is the actual one that will be arriving to your doorstep through the GB. Mum - on the lower inserts. I will find out and let you know.

I got 2 emails from mark@trexbillet.com today. I wanted to buy the rolled edge chrome mesh (first design). The one they're currently selling a "CNC frame with inner frame area" grill that is "a high polish aluminium finish". He said the chrome finish, which will require less maintenance, will be released later and the price isn't released yet. I didn't ask when that would be. Looks like a stainless steel E&G for me.

I really like the the T-Rex grill design that is coming out in Jan. I will start a GB on that one and when the other one comes out, if there is enough interest - start another BG.

i just spoke to the guys over at sfxperformance and i was trying to scam my way into getting the new T-Rex grill with a group discount but they say we don't have one. but there's good news if a Modarator calls and asked to speak to Christin Bristo they will setup up the sponser and give us that group discount on that grill so please someone call them and set this up it just has to be a MODERATOR. 1817-303-2255

Has anyone found a lesser price than the $425.00
for the T-Rex at SFX Performance?
Seems that prices are dropping all the time,
as "new" grills/items come available.
